Web Development Team Leader
China
I've worked in every size organization, from a couple people to several thousand, to several hundred thousand at IBM. Most of my professional experience falls within the realm of Web Development. And most of that experience has been with the LAMP platform, however I've also worked on sizable projects with Java and Weblogic. Besides working in a number of different environments I've also worked on both operational systems and released products (the development cycles of which are quite different). I'm currently leading a team of 10 LAMP Engineers. In the short term, I hope to increase the size of my team from 10 to 20 people over the next year. My long term goal, over the next 3-5 years, is to become a Senior Development Manager working towards Director of Engineering at a mid to large size enterprise.
My personal interests are in science, mathematics, philosophy and following current events. I try to maintain a general awareness of what is happening in each area through reading and self-study. Every time an important scientific discovery is made or a new satellite is launched for research I am thrilled. I'm also keen on following current events and the geopolitical dynamics of world powers.
I've also studied the Chinese language and can now speak at a conversationally fluent level.
